Welcome

On Tuesday, November 8, The La Habra Heights County Water District is holding an election for three Members of the Board of Directors. The three incumbents: Pamela McVicar, Mark Perumean and Robert Wilson are all running, and we hope to earn your vote on November 8.

My name is Pamela McVicar, and I am running for re-election as a Member of the Board of Directors of the La Habra Heights County Water District. I have served as a Director and Vice President of the District since 2009. During my time on the Board, I have focused on ensuring that the District continues to deliver high quality water which meets all state, federal and local guidelines at the lowest possible cost to the homes in La Habra Heights.

This is no time to make a change on our water board! Your Board of Directors have been working hard for you. We take our fiduciary responsibility to keep your water rates down while delivering consistent high quality water to you very seriously. Key accomplishments of our current Board:

  • We rebuilt Reservoir #9 on Skyline, increasing water storage capacity by 3 times to 1.97 million gallons, for emergency reserve and fire protection.
  • Purchased additional water rights in the Central Basin to keep our water cost low and reduced our dependence on the Metropolitan Water District and their rate increases.
  • Implemented reasonable and sustainable retirement programs that provide for employees, without creating an undue financial burden on the Water District residents.
  • Raised ISO rating on our Fire Emergency Deliverability to “1”, the highest possible rating.

ALL WITHOUT A RATE INCREASE!!!

Stay with the team that keeps your water rates down. Vote for Pamela McVicar, Mark Perumean and Robert Wilson on November 8!
